The Release - Buccal Facial Massage

60mins | $280

Deep release for the face, jaw and everything you've been holding.

The Release is a specialised, massage-focused facial combining lymphatic drainage, facial sculpting, muscular tension release and buccal (intraoral) massage to work with the deeper muscles of the face and jaw.

Unlike a traditional facial, this treatment is devoted almost entirely to massage.

Beginning with a gentle cleanse, the experience moves into an extended sequence of intentional, flowing massage across the chest, shoulders, neck, jaw, face and scalp.

A combination of lymphatic techniques and deeper sculpting movements helps encourage fluid movement, ease muscular tightness and enhance natural facial contours.

At the heart of this treatment is buccal massage — a specialised technique performed both externally and inside the mouth, using gloved hands to access the muscles of the cheeks and jaw from within. This approach allows for more targeted work with areas of facial tension that can be difficult to reach through external massage alone.

The intraoral massage combines deeper muscular techniques with softer, rhythmic movements, with pressure and pace intuitively adapted to your individual comfort and response. Rather than forcing release through discomfort, the intention is to work with your body, creating an experience that feels both purposeful and deeply nurturing.

The treatment concludes with a comforting warm towel and nourishing moisturiser, allowing you a moment to settle before returning to your day.

What makes this treatment different?

The Release is approximately 95% massage, with minimal skincare steps. Rather than focusing on masks, exfoliation or traditional facial rituals, the emphasis is on specialised facial muscle work, jaw release, lymphatic drainage and sculpting.

It may particularly appeal to women experiencing facial or jaw tightness, tension through the cheeks and neck, or those seeking a more intensive, massage-led facial experience.

More than facial sculpting, The Release is an invitation to soften, let go and experience what it feels like to be held.

Important Information — Buccal Facial Treatments

Buccal massage involves working both externally and inside the mouth using fresh, single-use gloves. Your comfort, hygiene and informed consent are prioritised throughout the treatment.

Pressure is adapted to your individual comfort, and the intraoral component can be adjusted or omitted where appropriate.

Please advise us of any recent dental procedures, oral infections, jaw injuries, active cold sores or other relevant health concerns before your appointment, as these may affect your suitability for treatment.
